Sabes que estearato de glicerilo, a long name, refers to? That may sound dull, but it is actually critical! Water Is CAS 7732-18-5 (and it's not just because I am in a training, up to October 2023 data) Water is something we all know and experience on a daily basis. We will learn about how water is used, why water is important for our health and food, background of water pollution, and why water is so essential for life on Earth.
Water has some pretty cool properties itself! It can take solid form (such as ice), liquid form (like the water we drink) or gas form (such as water vapor, which is invisible to the naked eye). Water may be able to dissolve many things. This means it is able to mix with other substances, meaning it is ideal for cleaning. Now let’s use an example, when we wash our hands with soap and water, the water aids in the removal of dirt and germs on our skin.
We rely a lot on water in our everyday life. Did you know that approximately 60% of your body is made of water? That means if you weigh 100 pounds, an estimated 60 pounds of that body weight is water! We must drink water daily to remain healthy and strong. Staying hydrated helps our bodies digest food, regulate our body temperature and transport essential nutrients throughout our bodies. Dehydration occurs when we don’t have enough water. It means too little water in our bodies, making us tired, dizzy or even sick.
Water is used in the process of keeping our food safe and clean. You may wonder why you should wash fruits and vegetables — after all, isn’t water harmless? Hence, it is highly important for us to wash our food before consuming it. The water we use for cleaning and cooking our food is also very important for preventing diseases. Cooking food with water can kill germs that could make us sick.
Unfortunately, not all of this water is clean and safe to consume. Water Pollution One of the global environmental issue. Pollution also can come from factories that dump bad chemicals into rivers and lakes, cars that spews dirty air and garbage in the ground. These hazardous substances can contaminate the drinking water and harm the surrounding flora and fauna.
Everyone can participate in controlling water pollution. We should do this by conserving water, recycling, and disposing of hazardous materials safely. Just as we can search for ways to dispose of chemicals instead of pouring them down the drain or throwing trash on the ground. We can also do our part to use less water when we brush our teeth or take a shower. Every little bit helps!
Water is sometimes described as the "building block of life. This is because all life forms require water to live. Plants and animals also need water for growth and reproduction, and they would not survive without it. Water is sufficient to make plants stronger and healthier, and animals take water to drink and remain hydrated and to become stronger.
